DASH Diet

Dash Diet

The DASH Diet is much more than a weight loss program. In fact, it is considered by many to be a heart-healthy diet that can help to lower blood pressure. This is worth knowing, because if you have been diagnosed with hypertension, that is, high blood pressure, then the odds are that your doctor has told you that you need to make some lifestyle changes to correct the issue, even if you’ve been given prescription medications to help to control or reduce the problem.

Top among the recommended efforts beyond exercising, is to make sure that your weight is in a healthy range, and to toss the salt shaker, for good. This is where the DASH diet can be particularly beneficial as this diet emphasizes eating a variety of foods and nutrients at the right portion sizes.

The DASH Diet Encourages Healthy Eating to Naturally Lower Blood Pressure

With the help of the DASH diet you can take action to reduce your own blood pressure. For some who follow this diet it is possible to reduce it to the point that they no longer need their medication anymore. Of course, if this should ever occur, it is imperative that you speak with your doctor before going off any medication that you may have been prescribed. Additionally, this diet can also be followed to help people to avoid developing high blood pressure problems in the first place.

Essentially, the DASH diet is designed to show you how to reduce your sodium levels while eating healthy, nutritious, flavorful food, and exercising in a fitness appropriate way to bring your blood pressure levels back under control.

How the Program Works

The DASH diet stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, but it can also help you to prevent heart disease, osteoporosis, and even some cancers.

The premise of the program includes the following:

  • Eating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and low fat dairy
  • Eating poultry, fish, and legumes
  • Eating only limited amounts of sweets, fats, and red meats – though they are still allowed
  • Reducing cholesterol, saturated fat, and total fat intake
  • Increasing fiber intake, as well as nutrients such as calcium, potassium, and magnesium
  • Reducing sodium

When followed properly, hunger shouldn’t be a problem for most people. The reason is that the standard DASH Diet gives a follower 2,000 calories every day. When that is made up of fruits, veggies, whole grains and lean protein, you can eat a tremendous amount of food within that calorie limit. For those who want to lose weight, a reduced calorie version is also available.

The diet provides a large number of different types of advice and recommendations to make it easier to follow. This includes:

  • Choosing “no salt added” or reduced sodium foods
  • Purchasing fresh or frozen vegetables, or canned options with “no salt added”
  • Selecting fresh fish, poultry, and lean meat instead of processed, smoked, and canned varieties.
  • Limiting the consumption of picked and cured foods
  • Limiting the use of condiments that are high in salt such as soy sauce, ketchup, horseradish, barbecue sauce, teriyaki sauce, and mustard.
  • Cook pasta, rice, and hot cereals without salting the water.

An Adipex Alternative May Also Assist with Weight Loss

Some who follow the DASH diet for weight loss reasons also find that when they take an Adipex alternative diet pill in combination with this program, that it can help support their efforts to manage their weight. This includes reducing struggles that are sometimes experienced when trying to remain committed to a diet or finding the extra energy required to power through the day and workouts.

Just remember, before following the DASH diet or taking a diet pill, it is always a good idea to first consult with your healthcare provider to make sure you’re doing what is safest and best for your specific health and lifestyle needs as well as weight management goals.

GNC Total Lean Burn 60

GNC Total Lean Burn 60 ReviewGNC Total Lean Burn 60 is an over the counter weight loss pill sold by the massive General Nutrition Centers brand.  This product is marketed as a pill that dieters can take to boost the ease and speed of their body’s fat burning.

What is GNC Total Lean Burn 60?

According to the official website for GNC Total Lean Burn 60, this product is a “clinically proven” formula providing thermogenesis through its ingredients.  This is meant to help boost the user’s metabolism, while burning calories and raising energy levels.  The claims about this product are that by using powerful ingredients, these tablets will enhance the overall metabolic rate.

This product is not meant to do the job all on its own.  Its use isn’t just a matter of swallowing a pill and watching fat burn away.  To be fair, no product has ever been proven to do that, whether in the prescription or non-prescription diet pill markets.  Instead, this product is recommended by its manufacturer alongside a healthy diet and exercise program that is provided with the purchase of these pills.

Diet Pill Benefits

According to the official page for GNC Total Lean Burn 60 on the General Nutrition Centers website, the benefits of using this product are:

  • A formula including powerful thermogenics
  • Boosting calorie burning by 60 percent (continue reading for discussion of this figure)
  • Raising energy and metabolic rate
  • Clinically researched
  • Tablets have a cinnamon flavor

It is very important to note that the claim of 60 percent calorie burning is based on research that was not published in a peer reviewed journal. In fact, the actual method and details of the study were not provided by the company on its website. It only stated that an unknown number of participants – who may or may not have been in the pay or employ of the brand – exercised on a treadmill on two occasions. In one, they took a placebo and in the other, they took this formula. This is not the type of science that is accepted by the scientific or medical communities.

GNC Total Lean Burn 60 Ingredients

The GNC Total Lean Burn 60 tablets are comprised of:

  • Guarana seed extract
  • Black tea leaves extract
  • MegaNatural grape skin and seed extract
  • Ginger root extract

How to Take These Tablets

The product packaging recommends taking two tablets 30 to 60 minutes ahead of your workout.  On non-workout days, the two tablets should be taken with water before breakfast.  It is recommended that users not take these pills close to bedtime.

Sadkhin Diet

Sadkhin Diet review

The Sadkhin Diet is a fad strategy that claims that it will help a dieter to be able to lose weight very quickly, but still safely. Instead of focusing on starving yourself, it uses acupressure to keep hunger to a minimum. In theory, this is supposed to help the dieter to be able to eat far less without having to feel as though they are starving. Furthermore, it also claims to help to cleanse the body while it synchronizes the operation of the organs.

Supposed Sadkhin Diet Benefits

The supposed benefits of choosing this program include:

  • Weight loss of 20-25 pounds achieve in just one month
  • No side effects
  • Countless benefits to your health
  • Natural weight loss without chemicals, diets, surgery or heavy exercising
  • Weight loss sustainability, with weight loss effects lasting for a minimum of 2 years

Additionally, the official site states the program is very affordable as “many insurance plans reimburse our clients.”

Based on these bold claims (that don’t have any clinical evidence to back them up) and the fact that the company behind his program likes to boast that the program has been featured on many TV networks, this immediately calls into question the validity of the claims made.

A Money Grab More Than a Practical Weight Loss Solution

The Sadkhin Diet, better known as the Sadkhin Complex weight loss program, is a combination of eating recommended healthy foods and acupressure, which is delivered via two Sadkhin Spheres that are positioned behind the ears (one behind each ear) by a Certified Sadkhin Practitioner. The website shows the ways in which a dieter will be required to change their typical eating habits so that they will be able to drop ten percent of their body weight within a tiny period of ten days.

This is a very expensive program. Although the initial consultation is free, the first month costs just under $400 and then about $240 for each additional month on the program. Moreover, there may be other additional costs for the company’s proprietary Multi-Vitamins, Soups, Herbs and Tea blend. On top of that, the spheres that deliver the acupressure must be adjusted every 10-12 days and this adjustment can be done only by a Certified Sadkhin Practitioner at a certified The SadkhinTherapy location.

Additionally, there is no evidence that this program is even effective for safe and long-term weight loss. Reviews by users on third party sites have been highly skeptical and it isn’t difficult to understand why. All that is used for this diet is acupressure and the exclusive consumption of  “healthy” foods that is nothing short of a starvation diet that includes primarily liquid-based foods, vegetables and fruits, resulting in a very low-calorie diet that is unbalanced and clearly lacking nutrients, which is made apparent as taking a multivitamin is encouraged.

While the diet, itself, isn’t tremendously challenging to follow in terms of knowing what the rules are, for the majority of people, it would be impossible (and also unhealthy) to be able to achieve the weight loss that is outlined in the program’s claims.

Even though the idea behind this fad may seem as though it is a good one, the reality is quite different. Moreover, any results that are actually achieved throughout the length of the Sadkhin diet will rapidly diminish once it is no longer being followed as it is likely that much of the weight that is lost will be water weight, and the rest will rebound before the body is able to recover from being in starvation mode (a slowed metabolism from eating too few calories).

A Diet for 16 to 65 Year Olds

According to the website for the Sadkhin Diet, they accept clients in fair health aged 16 to 65. However, individuals who have severe heart conditions and/or are currently under chemotherapy/radiation treatment are not eligible to take part in the program. Individuals interested in the Sadkhin Diet are also encouraged to consult with their primary care physician prior to their first appointment to make sure the program is right for them.

Though acupressure may help some people with weight loss when combined with diet restrictions, using it to such an extreme degree like the Sadkhin Diet may not be the safest method for everyone. There were reports of users of this diet (in their reviews of their experience) who found that they were incapable of eliminating their hunger, and who were not able to lose nearly the amount of weight that was promised.

While is it highly recommended that you avoid this weight management program altogether, if you are keen to give it a try, it is very important for anyone considering this diet to first speak with their doctor as it may not be safe for everyone and it could put your health at risk if it does not agree with your specific medical needs.

Clenburexin

Clenburexin reviews

Clenburexin is a diet pill that is designed to work as a fat burner so that dieters will be able to lose a larger amount of body mass in a shorter amount of time, and with less effort than would otherwise be required. The official website for this product is antiquated and doesn’t provide very much information about the product. However, its “buy now” link does direct the dieter to another site that sells the product and that provides a great deal more information, including a complete ingredients list.
