Old School New Body

Old School New Body book reviewOld School New Body is a weight loss book that is geared toward people who are aged 35 and older and who are looking to not only reduce their body fat levels but who also want overall health, wellness, and body strength improvements. The book was written by Steve and Becky Holman, who are professionals in the fitness industry. They have been working in that industry for over thirty years and designed a system in order to help people who are in the age bracket over 35 years to be able to drop the extra weight and keep it from coming back.

The design of the system focuses on more recent techniques for promoting efficient weight loss while still concentrating on overall health and wellness. The book is sold in stores but is primarily available online in a number of different places.

The strategy itself focuses on a balance of both healthy eating and proper exercise. The information in the book isn’t necessarily unique to this program but it is arranged in a way that is meant to appeal and make sense to its target market.

The system is broken down into a number of different phases that are described, but without a considerable amount of guidance to support them. Phase one provides the largest amount of description and direction, and the next two phases essentially tell the dieter to make small adjustments to what they were doing within the first phase. This makes this particular program rather unclear and confusing to follow and there have been many customer reviews that have reflected that attitude, online.

The book does appear to have a lot going for it, particularly as the authors are very experienced within the industry. However, the primary drawback is in that its directions have not been expressed in a way that is easy for people to understand and follow. Therefore, even if this program is exceptionally correct and effective, if dieters can’t understand exactly how to follow it, it strongly reduces its benefits.

Once the program has been dismantled to the point that it can be understood, it is clear that there isn’t anything all that revolutionary about it. There are many similar programs to this available for free online. The only thing that this book appears to do above and beyond what is available online in free articles is that it packages it all together and it focuses specifically on the needs of a certain age group.
